How to predict the remaining life of pumps, sacrificial anodes, and sacrificial anodes

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump that allows the consumption of a sacrificial anode to be checked from the outside before replacement.;SOLUTION: A pump comprises a pump body, a sacrificial anode attached to the pump body, and a potential sensor for detecting a change in a potential of the pump body. The sacrificial anode comprises a first portion in which a portion of a surface is exposed to the outside; and a second portion arranged on the side opposite to the exposed surface with respect to the first portion. When the first portion is consumed by corrosion, a portion of a surface of the second portion is exposed to the outside. An elution behavior of the sacrificial anode with the portion of the surface of the second portion exposed to the outside is different from an elution behavior of the sacrificial anode with the portion of the surface of the first portion exposed to the outside.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2;COPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT
