The invention relates to a method for correcting the time defined by an internal clock (4) of an entity (1) capable of receiving signals from a satellite positioning system and of communicating with at least one other entity. According to the invention, when the signals do not allow positioning by satellites of said entity, said method comprises steps of: receiving, by said entity, a message from the other entity, said message comprising a first temporal datum associated with the instant of transmission of said message, - determination, by said entity, of a second temporal datum associated with the instant of receipt of said message by said entity, - calculation of a time difference between the second datum time and the first time data item, then - if the time difference is negative, determining a time correction to be made on the internal clock of said entity.
