The purpose of the device is to minimise the risk of blockage during the filtering process. For this purpose, the device is formed by a tank (1) with an inlet or supply tube (2) for supplying water to be treated, which inlet or supply tube is connected to a pump (3) or pumping device, the tank containing a rotary cylindrical filter (5), with micro holes (6) through which the water is filtered into the filter, thereby generating a turbulent flow, the filter being connected to an outlet (8) for filtered water, which extends through the top of same, the filter being rotated by means of a corresponding transmission connected to a motor (9). In the bottom part of the tank is arranged an outlet for the impurities and/or solids expelled by the filter, which are compacted.
