The present invention provides a specific sequence of polypeptides exhibiting strong antimicrobial activity against a broad spectrum of gram-positive and negative bacteria, and antimicrobial use thereof. The newly discovered antimicrobial peptide of the present invention is an antimicrobial substance exhibiting strong antibacterial activity against a wide range of strains, and can be usefully used as a next-generation natural antibiotic that can be applied to the field of medicine.
