According to the method, the rice seeds are preliminarily examined for their manganese content. The treatment of rice seeds belonging to mid-season varieties obtained from at least three checks is carried out. One of the varieties is used as a check variety. Manganese is added to the seeds of other varieties before sowing at the rate of 4 kg/ha. After harvesting, rice seeds are examined for their manganese content. Then they are divided into three groups with different manganese content: the first group includes seeds containing less than 30 mg/kg of manganese, the second group includes seeds containing 30-45 mg/kg of manganese, and the third group includes seeds containing more than 45 mg/kg of manganese. Moreover, if rice seeds belong to the first group or the second group, they are treated with a 1.0% aqueous solution of manganese by the semi-dry method with working fluid consumption of 10 liters per 1 ton.;EFFECT: invention increases the yield of rice and reduces the consumption of manganese fertilizers because of highlighting the need for pre-sowing treatment of rice seeds with manganese.;1 cl, 3 tbl, 1 ex
