When moving the inner part of the bone flap jointly with Schneider's membrane into the sinus cavity, the mucous membrane of the sinus is simultaneously peeled from the bottom, lifting it up and laterally, maintaining the integrity of the membrane. Bone biomaterial is placed in the resulting cavity so that it is bounded outside by the side wall of the maxillary sinus, from above by the bony flap of the side nasal wall and Schneider's membrane, from below by the bottom of the maxillary sinus. The mucous membrane is returned to its place.
