FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of medicine, namely to orthopedics and traumatology, and discloses methods of applying antibacterial calcium phosphate coatings to orthopedic implants, in particular, intramedullary fixators and pins. The method includes sputtering a target in a high-frequency discharge plasma in a vacuum chamber of a magnetron sputtering system, in an argon atmosphere on an orthopedic implant placed in a fixture for a clamp or pin, on a turntable of a vacuum chamber, the target being made of zinc-substituted hydroxyapatite or copper-substituted hydroxyapatite. The coating is formed as follows: the vacuum chamber is evacuated to a residual pressure of (5 ± 0.5) * 10-6 Torr, filled with argon and evacuated to a working pressure (8 ± 0.5) * 10-4 Torr, ionic cleaning of the clamp or pin is carried out; an HF magnetron discharge is ignited at an operating pressure of (2 ± 1) * 10-3 Torr at a power of 50 W, followed by raising the power to 250 W by a stepwise interval of 50 W and holding for 10 minutes at each stage; the process of HF magnetron sputtering is carried out by bringing the working vacuum to a value of (9 ± 1) * 10-4 Torr, by introducing a pin or a retainer in the appropriate equipment into the magnetron zone with holding in this position for 240 or 380 minutes, respectively. ;EFFECT: claimed methods make it possible to improve the antibacterial properties and/or to increase the biocompatibility of the coating of the surface of the implants, and also ensure the uniformity of the coating on the orthopedic implants, in particular the fixators or pins.;13 cl, 4 ex, 2 dwg
