Proposed in the present invention are a device for removing thrombi in varicose veins using a thrombus collecting mesh and a thrombus suction catheter, and a method for using same, the device comprising: a guide delivery tube which is provided with a guide wire that passes through lesions in the vein obstructed by thick thrombi, and ascends to a normal area of the vein to be mounted thereto; a sheath which is guided along the guide delivery tube and mounted to an appropriate blood vessel position for removing the thrombi in the vein; a thrombus collecting mesh which is mounted to the catheter inserted into the sheath, and passes through the thrombi and spreads out in the normal area of the blood vessel; and a suction catheter which is inserted into the sheath and suctions the thrombi collected in the thrombus collecting mesh. Accordingly, the thrombi in the vein obstructed by the thick thrombi can be easily removed without depending on the skill of a clinician.
