Provided are a method and a device for image encoding/decoding. An image decoding method according to the present disclosure corresponds to an image decoding method performed by an image decoding device, and the method may comprise the steps of: determining whether BDOF or PROF is applied to a current block; when BDOF or PROF is applied to the current block, fetching a prediction sample of the current block from a reference picture of the current block on the basis of motion information of the current block; and deriving an improved prediction sample for the current block by applying BDOF or PROF to the current block, on the basis of the fetched prediction sample.
