Techniques for setting a 2-level auto-lock timer to access a storage device include examples of setting a first and second time value for the 2-level auto-lock timer to cause lines to access, automatically close after a cache line access to a line of a bank of storage devices. For these examples, cache line access occurs as a reaction to a multi-channel address nesting directive that results in either sequential or non-sequential cache line access to the bank of storage devices.
