A holding structure (2) in an ultrasonic vibration welding device, which welds work pieces by applying ultrasonic waves to the work pieces, holds an ultrasonic vibration transmission device (sonotrode) (5) which carries the transmission of longitudinally vibrating ultrasonic waves in holding elements (8, 8). The sonotrode comprises a sonotrode body (51) with a length of half a wavelength λ of the ultrasonic oscillation. The holding structure (2) contains holders (7x, 7y) with a prescribed volume and thin sheet connectors (6a, 6b) which are arranged at different positions (Pa, Pb) on the sonotrode body (51). The sonotrode body (51) is attached to holding elements (8, 8) by means of the respective holders (7x, 7y).
