In the case of a procedure for operating a non-volatile storage device, the non-volatile storage device shall comprise a storage block comprising a majority of storage cells and connected to a majority of voice lines. A data write command is received. Based on the data write command, a first programming process is performed for some vocabulary lines by the majority of vocabulary lines associated with the memory block. At least one of the few vocabulary lines where the first programming process is carried out,is recorded as uncoupled vocabulary. Without the write command, a second programming process is performed in an open vocabulary where the first programming process is not performed and adjacent to the uncoupled vocabulary.
