The invention relates to a lid assembly constructed to facilitate compartmentalisation of a wheelie bin, to allow separate opening and closure of compartments either side of a central hinge axis, to allow the securing of either lid independently in the open or closed position, and to prevent the ingress of rain or other precipitation into the internal compartments when the lids are in the closed position.
