The bladder for an article of footwear according to the present invention, as a chamber, comprises: (i) an arcuate segment extending from a first transition to a second transition, (ii) extending from the first transition to a first distal end in a first direction. A first plurality of elongate segments, and (iii) a second plurality of elongate segments spaced apart from the first plurality of elongate segments and extending in the first direction from the second transition to the second distal end. It includes a chamber to be provided. The bladder also connects the arcuate segment, the first plurality of elongate segments, and the second plurality of elongate segments, and extends to a distal edge spaced apart from each of the first and second distal ends.
