A preparation method for an ultrathin diamond film, comprising the following steps: providing nano diamond particles and a modified dispersant, configuring a mixed system of the nano diamond particles and the modified dispersant, adjusting the pH of the mixed system, and preparing a modified nano diamond particle suspension, wherein the modified dispersant is a dispersant which can be combined on surfaces of the nano diamond particles and improve the Zeta potential of the nano diamond particles; placing a substrate of a diamond film to be prepared in the modified nano diamond particle suspension to undergo ultrasonic treatment, so as to obtain a pre-prepared base plate having a single layer of nano diamond particles adsorbed on the surface; and continuing growing nano diamond particles on the single layer of nano diamond particles of the pre-prepared base plate to prepare an ultra-thin diamond film. Also disclosed are an ultrathin diamond film and an optical window.
