PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a soft capsule film containing gelatin as a film base and glycerin as a plasticizer. SOLUTION: A soft capsule film containing gelatin as a film base and glycerin as a plasticizer contains modified starch selected from acid-treated potato starch, acid-treated glutinous corn starch, and acid-treated corn starch. By doing so, a soft capsule film having the same composition except that it does not contain the modified starch is produced with a smaller degree of increase in adhesiveness at high temperatures.
