A visual function of a test subject is appropriately examined. A visual function detection apparatus includes: a display controller that causes an image (231) for determination to be displayed in a display region (101T) on a display screen (101S) of a display unit and that moves the image (231) for determination within the display region (101T); a gazing point detector that detects a position of a gazing point of a test subject observing the display screen (101S); a relation detector that detects relation information among a position of the image (231) for determination on the display screen (101S), a moving direction of the image (231) for determination, and a moving direction of the gazing point; and a visual function detector that detects a visual function of the test subject (H) based on the relation information.
