The present invention properly examines the visual function of a test subject. This visual function detection device is provided with: a display control unit which causes an assessment image (231) to be displayed on a display screen (101S) of a display unit; a point-of-gaze detection unit which detects the position of a point of gaze of the test subject observing the display screen (101S); a positional relation detection unit which detects a positional relation between the position of the point of gaze and the position of the assessment image (231) on the display screen (101S); and a visual function detection unit which detects the visual function of the test subject on the basis of the positional relation.
