PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste sorting system for sorting waste more efficiently. SOLUTION: In a waste sorting system, a first transport unit for transporting waste, a sensor for detecting the material of the transported waste, and a control unit for accepting registration of the material to be sorted first. A first optical sorting mechanism including a first collecting unit for collecting the waste of the first sorting target material detected by the sensor using air discharged from one or a plurality of nozzles. Of the second transport unit, which is located downstream of the first optical sorting mechanism and transports the waste not collected by the first recovery unit, and the waste transported by the second transport unit. It is characterized by including a robot arm for collecting the waste of the material registered as a second sorting target, and a robot sorting mechanism including the robot arm.
