To determine dress quality accurately in an extremely short time.SOLUTION: A dress quality determination device comprises: a voltage detection part 110 which detects a voltage between electrodes 230A, 230B which sandwich a steel plate 240; a current detection part 120 which detects an electric current flowing between the electrodes which sandwich the steel plate; a resistance value calculation part 130 which calculates a resistance value between the electrodes from the detected voltage and current; a peak value detection part 140 which detects a peak value of the calculated resistance value; a time measurement part 150 which measures a time after the steel plate is electrically conducted until the peak value is detected; and a determination part 160 which determines that a dress of the electrode is good if the measured time falls within an allowable range, and determines that the dress of the electrode is bad if the measured time does not fall within the allowable range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
