PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin coated base material with a screw hole and a screw hole forming method which can securely obtain a female screw with high strength.SOLUTION: In a screw hole forming method of a resin coated base material 1 having a resin coated layer 3 of thermoplastic resin on a surface of a metal base material 2, the base material 2 is exposed from a predetermined part of the resin coated base material 1 by forming an air gap part 5 reaching to the base material 2 from a front surface side of the resin coated layer 3, an exposed part 14 of the base material 2 exposed from the air gap part 5 is burred from a base material 2 side to the air gap part 5, a cylindrical part 7 is formed by raising the exposed part 14 cylindrically in the air gap part 5, and a female screw 8 is formed on an inner peripheral surface of the cylindrical part 7.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
