The present invention addresses the problem of providing a method for acquiring data for distinguishing the presence of cancer cells and/or distinguishing anticancer drug resistance, a method for acquiring prediction data, a use of a distinction marker in said method, and a distinguishing kit, and in particular addresses the problem of distinguishing anticancer drug resistance before an anticancer drug is administered to a patient. Polysulfides, which are markers for anticancer drug resistance, are distinguished in cancerous tissue of a cancer patient prior to administration of an anticancer drug, thereby making it possible to distinguish anticancer drug resistance to the cancerous tissue of the cancer patient.
