The present technology relates to a carbon quantum dot-polypyrrole nanocomposite for bio-imaging and photothermal therapy, and a method for manufacturing the same, and more specifically, a carbon quantum dot-polypyrrole nanocomposite, a composition for bio-imaging and photothermal treatment comprising the same as an active ingredient, and the carbon quantum dot -It relates to a method of manufacturing a polypyrrole nanocomposite. The carbon quantum dot-polypyrrole nanocomposite according to the present technology can perform cell imaging and photothermal treatment at the same time, has excellent enhanced permeability and retention effect, and can easily penetrate into cells while emitting fluorescence. It is possible to diagnose diseases such as tumors, and when irradiated with a laser, harmful cells such as tumor cells can be killed due to the photothermal conversion effect. In addition, as a material having little toxicity to the human body, it can be safely used as an active ingredient in a composition for bio-imaging or photothermal therapy. On the other hand, the manufacturing method of the carbon quantum dot-polypyrrole nanocomposite according to the present technology uses the EDC/NHS coupling method between polypyrrole nanoparticles functionalized with carboxyl groups and carbon quantum dots rich in amine groups. Polypyrrole nanocomposites can be formed.
