A polymer nanofiber includes: from 80 wt% to 99 wt% of a photoactive polycarbonate copolymer (XPC); and from 1 wt% to 20 wt% trifluoropropyl polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (F-POSS). A method of making polymer nanofibers includes combining from 80 wt% to 99 wt% of a photoactive polycarbonate copolymer (XPC) with from 1 wt% to 20 wt% trifluoropropyl polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (F-POSS) in a solvent; dissolving the XPC and F-POSS in the solvent to form a solution; and electrospinning the solution to form the polymer nanofibers.
