The present invention relates to a novel fucose isomerase and a method for producing fucose using the same, and more specifically, the present invention relates to an L-fucose derived from 14 strains of Raoultella sp. KDH isolated from abalone intestines. Isomerase provides an effect applied to the production of L-fucose by favoring the reaction proceeding from L-fuculose to L-fucose in the reversible reaction between L-fucose and L-fuculose.
