PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need of large-scaled construction and to eliminate the necessity for a worker to work near a connection point of a main pipe and a joint pipe.SOLUTION: A connection method for a joint pipe includes: a first step of preparing a joint pipe 101 comprising an end wall 101c, a guide hole 101d that is penetrated in the end wall 101c, and a seal ring 106 that is provided on the end wall 101c; a second step of using a punching machine to form insertion holes on structures 105 and 300 that are provided outside of a main body 100; a third step of inserting the joint pipe 101 into an insertion hole 302; a fourth step of abutting the end wall 101c of the joint pipe 101 that is inserted into the insertion hole 302, to the main body 100; a fifth step of loading the joint pipe 101 with a predetermined water pressure; a sixth step of using a punching machine to form a hole part around the guide hole 101d at a connection point of the main body 100 and the joint pipe 101; and a seventh step of using a fitting tool to fit a branch structure to the hole part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
