LPR system having vehicle kind recognition based on deep learning and method thereof

Disclosed is an LPR system and method having a vehicle model recognition function based on deep learning. The LPR system equipped with a deep learning-based vehicle type recognition function detects the vehicle license plate from at least one frame included in the received video information and an input module that receives video information captured from a camera installed in the vehicle's entry and exit direction. An object detecting module for, an OCR module for recognizing the vehicle number of the detected license plate, a vehicle model recognition module for recognizing the vehicle type of the vehicle, and the vehicle number and information on the recognized vehicle type are stored in correspondence and stored. And a control module that checks the vehicle type information corresponding to the vehicle number recognized when the vehicle is unloaded and calculates a fare according to a fare policy corresponding to the vehicle type.
