PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an HIV-1 vaccine containing a carrier and a population episensus antigen determined by using an EpiGraph approach. A step of designing a vaccine antigen to optimally cover diversity within a geographical region and a step of producing a designed vaccine antigen using an antigen amino acid sequence generated using the EpiGraph approach. It also provides a way to design and produce HIV-1 vaccines for the subject, including. Effector memory T cells comprising designing one or more EpiGraph amino acid sequences, producing a vaccine containing the one or more EpiGraph amino acid sequences and a vector, and administering the vaccine to a subject. It also provides a method of deriving a response.
