The invention describes a method for locating a vehicle (FZG), in particular a rail-bound vehicle (FZG), in which a UWB radar device (RDE1, RDE2, RDE3) is used for locating. To locate the vehicle (FZG), at least two UWB radars (RD1, RD2, RD3) are used at the same time. The measurement results generated by the at least two UWB radars (RD1, RD2, RD3) are compared with one another in a voting device (VTE1, VTE2). In the event that the upstream device (VTE1, VTE2) confirms the integrity of the measurement results, these are released for further use. In the event that the voting device (VTE1, VTE2) does not confirm the integrity of the measurement results, these are discarded. Furthermore, a train protection device (ZSE) with a locating unit (OTG) is provided.
