A refrigerator (2) includes a door (26) that is pivotally coupled to a storage compartment (12) between open and closed positions along a swing path (68) of the door (26). A mullion assembly (30) is coupled to the door (26) and pivots relative to the door (26) between deployed and stowed positions. A spring finger assembly (70) is mounted on the door (26) and includes a spring finger (102). The spring finger (102) engages an engagement member (86) of the refrigerator (2) when the door (26) is in a first position, and the mullion assembly (30) engages the storage compartment (12) when the door (26) is in a second position. A resistance force (RF) of the door (26) from the open position to the closed position increases from the first position of the door (26) to the second position of the door (26).
