The present invention relates to a method for resolving pro-tumor inflammation by means of a pharmaceutical agent. Leukocytes are separated from the buffy coat produced from whole blood, and some of the leukocytes are placed in a first pocket receiving a differentiation factor, stored for several days under conditions that preserve cell viability, and fresh again. It is housed in a defined culture medium, and then some of the leukocytes are left for an additional few days to cause the production of macrophages. Another part of the white blood cells are placed in the second pocket and examined. The two pockets are then mixed and the supernatant recovered to perform as a pharmaceutical formulation. The invention also relates to use in the treatment of cancer, alone or in combination with other therapies, in human and veterinary medicine.
