Composition for the treatment of dry eye disease and meibomitis

The present application relates to a composition for the treatment of ocular disorders, in particular for the treatment of dry eye disease (DED) and meibomitis, the composition comprising an ultra-long chain polyunsaturated fatty acid. In addition, the present invention provides a method for treating DED and meibomitis in a subject, comprising administering to the subject a composition comprising an ultra-long chain polyunsaturated fatty acid derived from a natural oil. Compositions for use are suitable for oral and topical application.
