A temperature monitoring sensor unit 1 includes a detection unit 3, a transmission unit 4, a control unit 5, and a power supply unit 6. The detection unit 3 is attached to the connection unit 21 of the electric wire 2. The transmission unit 4 wirelessly transmits information. The control unit 5 inputs the detection result by the detection unit 3 and controls the transmission unit 4. The power supply unit 6 supplies electric power to the transmission unit 4 and the control unit 5. The detection unit 3 mechanically detects that the temperature T of the connection unit 21 has reached a predetermined threshold temperature Ts or higher, and the detection result changes from the non-detection state s0 to the detection state s1. The detection unit 3 mechanically holds the detection state s1. The control unit 5 refers to the detection result by the detection unit 3 at a predetermined monitoring cycle, and when the detection result is in the detection state s1, causes the transmission unit 4 to wirelessly transmit the detection result.
