摘要

An improved process for the preparation of novel crosslinked macroporous glycidylmethacrylate-pentaerythritol triacrylate copolymers useful for the immobilization of milk clotting protease, which comprises of polymerizing glycidyl methacrylate and pentaerythritol triacrylate in an inert atmosphere, in the presence of a conventional protective colloid, a porogen, and a polymerization initiator, in an aqueous media, heating the polymerization reaction mkixutre at a temperature in the range of 70°C to 80°C for a period ranging from 2 to 4 hours, isolating the product by conventional methods such as herein described washing the resulting copolymer with water followed by a protic solvent followed by drying the said crosslinked macroporous glycidyl methacrylate-pentaerythritol triacrylate copolymers at a temperature below 50°C.
