Potatoes, carrots, &c., fruit and vegetables, cutting and slicing; graters.-The grating or cutting plate b, Fig. 1, is curved, and the holder d for bread, potatoes, carrots, &c. is carried by arms c so that it may be reciprocated over the surface. A presser f is suitably guided in the holder. Figs. 4 and 5 show a simple form of nutmeg grater, in which n is the grating-surface, o the holder, and p the presser.
