Dyes, artificial.-New monoazo dyes, which when fixed on wool with the aid of copper salts yield beautiful shades, are produced by diazotizing the 4-chloro-2-amidophenol sulphonic acid obtained as above described and continuing it with 1 : 8-amidonaphthol-3 : 6-or-2 : 4-disulphonic acid.
