Colours, surfaces, textures, and the like, comparing and testing.-Relates to materials for use in French pattern modelling, in which the pattern is built up upon the figure. The material generally used is a special leno known as "linon pour moulage," and the invention consists in weaving or otherwise forming on this material a design, such as a plaid or stripe, so that the modeller is able to match plaids or other designs at the time the pattern is being taken. The " batiste " reed in draping or trimming the model also has designs formed upon it to enable materials for trimmings and the like to be matched. Materials with these designs upon them are specially adapted for use by teachers.
