Draught, indicating.- Comprises float mechanism with a graduated tape L', shown in Fig. 3, for indicating the draught at a point near amidship, and lever mechanism, shown in Figs. 1 and 2, for indicating the varying trim between the two ends of the vessel as loading proceeds. The float L, within the tube J in communication with the outside water below the light water line, is suspended from the tape L', which is carried over sheaves to the chart-room or wheel - house and is counterbalanced by the weight O1. The fore and aft draughts are derived from the readings of the pointers F, F1, pivoted at G, G', when the beam A pivoted at A' is free and is levelled by means of the spirit level B. The pivoted arm C is connected by the links C' with the beam A and by the links D, D' with the pointers F, F1.
