Medicines, administering.-A. band or necklet made of silk, rubber, or other porous material, and containing a mixture of hyoscyamus, sulphur, borax, and boracic acid, is placed round a child's neck ; it is stated that the absorption of the ingredients causes an enlargement of the pores of the gums and renders dentition painless. Or the composition may be applied by any form of local external application.
