446. Numeyer, J. Jan. 7 Displaying and storing.-Cardboard &c. boxes or cases are made from blanks shown in Fig. 5. The creases may be strengthened by pasted tapes of calico. The lid d, when closed, rests on the strip of board k, and the flaps f, g attached to the sides c overlap the lid d, and are fastened by the spring stud h and socket i. The edges of the flaps f, g are cut diagonally, so that, when folded back, the flaps support the box in an inclined position as shown in Fig. 4. Advertisements &c. may be placed on the lid and flaps. The box may be divided into compartments. The flaps f, g may be caused to fly open by springs.
