Girders and beams are rolled in two parts, each of T-section, and are formed with a half check in the web so that when the parts are placed together they overlap, being riveted tothe overlapping parts gether. The meeting faces may be plain, fluted or joggled, and angle-bars may be riveted on each side to serve as a flooring support, as shown in Fig. 1.
