Water-circulation, promoting; tubes, water.-In order to promote water circulation in boilers of the marine type, water tubes of any size or shape are placed in the furnaces and combustion chambers and connected at the ends with interior of the boiler at points above and below the level of the firebars. The lower end of the tubes may project into the water space. Several methods of arranging the tubes are shown in the Figure.
