9438. Ste. Croix, G. de. April 25. Envelopes; letter-cards; postcards. - A lettercard for conveying written or printed matter, advertisements, &c. is combined with a reply postcard. The blank a, Fig. 1, is folded at the lines 1, 6, and the tongue 2 inserted into the slit 3, forms a secure fastening, the tampering with which is easily detected. If desired, an enclosed sheet is folded over the inner flap b, which may form the reply postcard. The letter-card is opened, and the reply card simultaneously detached, by tearing along the superposed perforated lines 5, 7, 4. In some cases, the perforations 7 are omitted, and the line 6 perforated or weakened instead.
