Bedsteads.-In a bedstead for hospital and like purposes, in which the bottom can be elevated at the foot end, a supplementary frame A, which carries the mesh B, is pivoted at a5 to the side bars C at or near the head end, and is supported at the foot end, when not in use, by a cross-bar c2. The frame is supported in the raised position by racks F, which engage the cross-bar c2 or projections on the chills c3, handles E being provided for raising the frame.
