摘要
20,631. Kay, S. V., and Kay Bros. Oct. 12. Paper, cardboard, and like boxes; boxes for vermin &c. traps; string holders.-A case for enclosing fly-catching strings is made in one or two portions in the manner shown in Figs. 2, 4, and 5. Referring to Fig. 2, a blank B, preferably of leatherboard, has two recesses stamped out on it by means of dies &c., and is scored or caused to fold in the middle at L. The recesses are designed to contain the ball of string &c., and after the insertion of the latter the parts are stitched, glued, or wire-stitched together, as shown at F, Fig. 5, one end of the string G being left projecting. It is stated that leakage of the sticky material may be prevented by forming a groove and raised collar respectively round the recesses. The parts may be dipped or dressed so as to prevent the absorption of the sticky substance by the leatherboard. Instead of the method of manufacture described above, the blank B may be perforated with apertures E, Fig. 4, in which may be secured dishes D, the rest of the process being as before. Also instead of the blank being folded at L, the parts may be made separately and wire-stitched &c. together.
