Resins and resinous compounds.-Manila copal, sandarach, and similar resins which dissolve in alcohol are heated together with 1 to 5 per cent of a fatty oil. The products are insoluble in oil and are especially adapted for use in the manufacture of polishes, as substitues for shellac.
