A wire then cuts off the material in the mould from that in the chamber F, a board is introduced into the division and the core and mould raised. To separate the mould from the article formed, levers V are swung over the loose ends of rods S bearing against the liner so that this is prevented from rising with the mould. The levers V then being turned out of the way, the mould rising farther contacts with bolts Z on the rods S and lifts them so that the linings also can be removed. According to the Provisional Specification, valves may be used to introduce air between the mould and its contents so that they will not rise together.
