Self-closing valves.-A self-closing valve d, Fig. 1, for use in siphon flushing and other cisterns, and serving as a water-waste preventer, is actuated by a diaphragm n in a chamber h in connexion with a pneumatic bulb j. The valve, of any ordinary type, is attached to a spindle f, Fig. 2, connected with a rubber diaphragm n in a chamber h. Air is supplied by a tubs i in connexion with a rubber bulb j, Fig. 4, preferably pear-shaped and provided with inlet and outlet valves k, l. The chamber h, Fig. 2, is provided with an outlet at p and another at q, the latter of which can be adjusted by means of an ordinary needle valve so that the time of falling of the diaphragm can be adjusted.
