Tyres, pneumatic; building wheels.-A machine for attaching india-rubber tread strips to the outer covers of pneumatic tyres, built up either in the ordinary way or by the machine described in Specification No. 18,587, A.D. 1906, consists of a pair of grooved and recessed rollers a, b, the upper member of which is mounted in a slide e and weighted at f, the lower member being driven. Rollers h, secured to the frame, guide the cover i, suitably solutioned or prepared, and the tread-strip j, through the nip of the main rollers. The pressure upon the roller a may be relieved by means of a catch k adapted to support the arm f.
