Razors.-A holder, for use in honing or sharpening Gillette and similar razor blades, of the type in which the blade is held between two flat gripping- plates secured by a sliding collar, one plate having studs corresponding to the holes in the blades, and the other plate holes to receive the ends of the studs, comprises two semitubular portions integral at one end or connected by a hinge and arranged to be held apart normally by a spring action. The free ends of the two portions, which are formed from spring metal, are flattened to form jaws a6, Fig. 1, of which one carries studs b and the other is provided with apertures a'. The jaws are caused to grip the blade by a sleeve d which slides on the handle part, which increases in size toward the blade-holding end. When the two portions are separate and hinged at the end a5, Fig. 3, a spring f is inserted between them.
